7 Reasons why you shouldn't get bothered by Society

Needless to say, this article starts with the phrase "What'll people say?" just like many other articles, poems, stories, advertisements, etc. who have been telling us to not think about society and its norms and the stereotypical behavior that could damage one's sense of consciousness, ability to think and overall may impact our mental health in a harmful way. But, easy said than done, it is quite difficult to simply take the thoughts out of our heads. But we can try and understand what could be the reasons behind this nagging behavior. So, here are 7 Reasons to remind you, why you shouldn't be bothered by society.

1. You owe them nothing:
Every individual is born with their own rights. Others perception of you should not bother what and how you do things. You are not here for them, you are here for you.

2. Right to Freedom:
What you eat, wear, see or feel is not their area of control. Your life's remote should always be in your hands. Most of the times people tell us to be what they like to see, but we are unabashedly us, and that's what makes us who we are.

3. People come, people go:
Some of them just like to nag. It's alright, stay calm and let them show their persona to you. That helps to differentiate between different kinds of people and keep the right ones to yourself. Well, the transitory ones will leave eventually, but the right ones will stay for a long-long time.

4. A friend in need is a friend indeed:
Ask yourself - are these people who are nudging, budging and judging you will ever really come to your rescue in a zombie apocalypse? Okay, not that big of a chaos but maybe just to give a listening ear or a crying shoulder? If yes, they're a keeper. If no, wave your goodbyes.

5. Illogicality:
People can get way too illogical many a times. It might be that they don't get the kind of work you do, maybe they were never exposed to that kind of an environment before or maybe they could never gather the courage to open their minds to that level. Not everybody can be on the same page. It's better to understand that every life is different and every brain processes things according to their own life experiences. So, rather than getting worked up, we can either try to make them understand or just stay as we are without getting bothered (or atleast try not to for our own peace of mind).

6. Greed:
People can be a gem of a being. But sometimes, greed takes up so much of their thinking that they are unable to separate between ethics and greediness. Sometimes, they don't even have an idea that they're being greedy until karma takes the charge. So, maybe you should talk it out to them if you feel you'll be understood and not just thrown out of their zone. If so, it's rather better to distinct yourself a little - maybe for a time being, and 'do what you think in your heart is right'. Old quote, still works!

7. This is your F-ing Life!:
You have made this life what it is today, good or bad. You made this, all of it. And only you have the power to change it, blend it or begin it new and fresh all over again. You were born solo and you're not taking anyone along with you when you die either. So, people in this journey of life are mere co-existing souls who'll either walk you to hell or show you living heaven but in either way have no entitlement towards your quality of life.

You are an Art. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
